RESOLUTION NO. R24-15 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO OF 
A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN 
MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA AND THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, ARIZONA.  
 
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
WHEREAS, Maricopa County wishes to enhance radiological and nuclear detection and 
interdiction capabilities in Maricopa County through acquiring equipment, training, and support 
to enhance preventative radiological and nuclear detection capabilities; and 
 
WHEREAS, the Police and Fire Departments wish to actively engage in the program and 
receive equipment and training as participants in the program; and 
 
WHEREAS, the parties wish to memorialize such arrangement in a memorandum of 
understanding. 
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL FO THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
 
SECTION 1.  That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the 
citizens thereof that the Memorandum of Understanding for the Maricopa County Securing the 
Cities Program be entered into to enhance radiological and nuclear detection and interdiction 
capabilities of the Police and Fire Departments. 
 
 
 
SECTION 2.  That the Mayor or City Manager and the City Clerk be authorized and 
directed to execute and deliver said agreement on behalf of the City of Glendale.
