RESOLUTION NO. R24-26 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, DIRECTING AND ENTERING INTO A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG-CV3) AGREEMENT WITH PHOENIX GOSPEL MISSION, INC. FOR HEAT RELIEF RESPITE CENTERS. WHEREAS, Phoenix Gospel Mission, Inc. will provide City of Glendale with Case Management Services for 2 heat relief respite centers (the “Project") to principally serve people experiencing homelessness or other vulnerable populations at risk of suffering from heat-related illness or death. This project expects to provide services to a minimum of 100 unduplicated city residents; and WHEREAS, City of Glendale shall provide Phoenix Gospel Mission, Inc. $52,280 in CDBG-CV3 Funds provided to the City through the U.S. Department of Treasury. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: SECTION 1. That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the citizens thereof that the CDBG-CV3 Agreement between the City of Glendale and the Phoenix Gospel Mission, Inc. for the heat relief respite centers be entered into, which agreement is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Glendale. SECTION 2. That the City Manager and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute and deliver such agreement on behalf of the City of Glendale.
