A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE,
MARICOPA
COUNTY,
ARIZONA,
AUTHORIZING
AND
DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO OF AMENDMENT ONE TO
JOINT
AGENCY
AGREEMENT
WITH
THE
MARICOPA
ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS FOR THE ROADWAY
SAFETY PROGRAM FOR SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS AT THE
OLIVE AVENUE AND 61ST AVENUE INTERSECTION IN THE
CITY OF GLENDALE.
WHEREAS, on September 13, 2022, City Council approved the entering into a Joint
Agency Agreement (JAA) (C22-0932) for safety improvements to the signal at the intersection of
Olive Avenue and 61st Avenue within the City; and
WHEREAS, an amendment to the contract is needed to extend the contract time from
September 30, 2024 to December 31, 2024 to allow for the completion of the project.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows:
SECTION 1. That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the citizens
thereof that amendment one to the JAA for the Olive Avenue and 61st Avenue signal improvements
(“Project”) be entered into which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of
Glendale.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager or designee and City Clerk are authorized and directed
to execute and deliver such agreement on behalf of the City of Glendale.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of
Glendale, Maricopa County, Arizona, this 25th day of June, 2024.
