A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO 
AMENDMENT 2 TO THE JOINT AGENCY AGREEMENT 
WITH THE MARICOPA ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS 
FOR THE ROADWAY SAFETY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM 
FOR SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS ON OLIVE AVENUE 
BETWEEN 
59TH 
AVENUE 
AND 
67TH 
AVENUE 
INTERSECTIONS IN THE CITY OF GLENDALE. 
 
 
WHEREAS, on September 13, 2022, City Council approved the entering into a Joint 
Agency Agreement (JAA) (C22-0931) for safety improvements to the lighting along Olive Avenue 
between 59th Avenue and 67th Avenue within the City; and 
 
WHEREAS, on December 12, 2023, City Council approved Amendment number 1 to the 
Joint Agency Agreement (JAA) (C22-0931) to correct funding information; and 
 
WHEREAS an amendment to the contract is needed to extend the contract time from 
September 30, 2024 to December 31, 2024 to allow for the completion of the project. 
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
SECTION 1.  That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the citizens 
thereof to amend the current Joint Agency Agreement to amend the contract completion time.  
 
SECTION 2.  That the City Manager or designee and City Clerk are authorized and directed 
to execute and deliver such agreement on behalf of the City of Glendale.
