RESOLUTION NO. R24-39
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GLENDALE, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, APPROVING
THE 2024 APPLICATION FOR A PROPOSITION 202 GRANT
ON BEHALF OF THE ORGANIZATION DEL CORAZON DE
JESSICA IN THE AMOUNT OF $46,743 FROM THE AK-CHIN
INDIAN COMMUNITY FOR COMMUNITY AID.
WHEREAS, the Ak-Chin Indian Community requires a City Council resolution from an
eligible government showing that the eligible government will act as a fiscal agent and accept
funding on the non-profit’s behalf, if awarded; and
WHEREAS, Del Corazon de Jessica is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization based in the
City of Glendale, Arizona, requesting $46,743 from the Ak-Chin Indian Community.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council approves the filing of an application for the 2024 Ak-
Chin Indian Community Prop 202 – 12 % grant in the amount of $46,743 on behalf of the non-
profit Del Corazon de Jessica and the City of Glendale’s role as sponsor and fiscal agent for the
grant, if awarded.
SECTION 2. That the City of Glendale accept and expend the $46,743 award in
accordance with the program requirements.
SECTION 3. That the City Manager or designee and City Clerk are authorized and
directed to execute and deliver such agreement on behalf of the City of Glendale.
