RESOLUTION NO. R24-59
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA,
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO OF
AN AMENDMENT TO FUNDING AGREEMENT WITH THE
ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING FOR GLENDALE
WORKS.
WHEREAS, since 2018 Glendale Works has provided day labor contract employment to
individuals in the City experiencing homelessness; and
WHEREAS, Glendale Works participants engage in cleanup projects on City-owned
property, are paid a minimum wage rate for work performed, and provided the option to participate
in case management to connect with housing and supportive service resources to end their
homelessness; and
WHEREAS, the Parties desire to enter into an amendment to provide additional funding
for the Glendale Works program with City matched funds.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows:
SECTION 1.  That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the citizens
thereof that the Amendment to a Funding Agreement with Arizona Department of Housing to
increase the grant award from $195,453 to $467,750 and to extend the period of performance to
June 30, 2025, for Glendale Works program activities.  All other terms and conditions remain
unchanged.
SECTION 2.  That the City Manager or designee and the City Clerk are authorized and
directed to execute and deliver any and all documents necessary to effectuate said Agreement on
behalf of the City of Glendale.
