RESOLUTION NO. R24-61
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GLENDALE, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A WAIVER WITH THE
ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION PURSUANT
TO ARS §28-7209, ALLOWING FOR THE ABANDONMENT OF
CERTAIN AREAS ON GLENDALE AVENUE AT THE BOB
STUMP MEMORIAL PARKWAY, STATE ROUTE 303 LOOP
(LOOP 303) TRAFFIC INTERCHANGE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City of Glendale agrees to waive the four-year waiting period required for
the abandonment of State highways and roadways, allowing the Arizona Department of Transportation to
proceed with the abandonment of certain areas on Glendale Avenue at the Loop 303 Traffic Interchange,
which will allow these rights-of-way to be transferred to the City of Glendale for continued public use.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute and
deliver such Waiver on behalf of the City of Glendale.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Glendale,
Maricopa County, Arizona, this 13th day of August, 2024.
