RESOLUTION NO. R24-65
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA,
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO
OF AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR
LANDFILL DISPOSAL SERVICES WITH THE CITY OF
AVONDALE.
WHEREAS, the City of Glendale has a Municipal Landfill located at 11480 West
Glendale Avenue;
WHEREAS, the City of Avondale is requesting landfill disposal services from the City
of Glendale;
WHEREAS, the City of Glendale and City of Avondale wish to enter into an
Intergovernmental Agreement (“IGA”) pursuant to A.R.S. §11-952 to contract for Landfill
Disposal Services; and
WHEREAS, on June 18, 2024, the Council of the City of Avondale approved the IGA
between the City of Glendale and the City of Avondale for Landfill Disposal Services.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows:
SECTION 1. That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and its citizens
to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement for Landfill Disposal Services with the City of
Avondale, in the form on file with the City Clerk of the City of Glendale.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager or designee and the City Clerk be authorized and
directed to execute and enter into the IGA on behalf of the City of Glendale.
