RESOLUTION NO. R24-91
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GLENDALE, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, ACCEPTING
THE 2024 GRANT AWARD FOR PROPOSITION 202 GRANT
ON BEHALF OF YWCA METROPOLITAN PHOENIX IN THE
AMOUNT OF $20,000 FROM THE GILA RIVER INDIAN
COMMUNITY FOR OLDER ADULT PROGRAMMING.
WHEREAS, the Gila River Indian Community requires a City Council resolution from an
eligible government showing that the eligible government will act as a fiscal agent and accept
funding on the non-profit’s behalf.
WHEREAS, YWCA Metropolitan Phoenix is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization based in
Glendale, Arizona, requesting $20,000 from the Gila River Indian Community.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council approves the acceptance of a 2024 grant award from the
Gila River Indian Community Prop 202 – 12 % grant in the amount of $20,000 on behalf of the
non-profit YWCA Metropolitan Phoenix and the City of Glendale’s role as sponsor and fiscal
agent for the grant.
SECTION 2. That the City of Glendale accepts and expends the $20,000 award in
accordance with the program requirements.
SECTION 3. That the City Manager or designee and City Clerk are authorized and
directed to execute and deliver such agreement on behalf of the City of Glendale.
