RESOLUTION NO. R24-108
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO OF 
AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR LANDFILL 
DISPOSAL SERVICES WITH THE CITY OF PEORIA. 
WHEREAS, the City of Glendale has a Municipal Landfill located at 11480 West 
Glendale Avenue; and 
WHEREAS, the City of Peoria is requesting landfill disposal services from the City of 
Glendale; and 
WHEREAS, the City of Glendale and City of Peoria wish to enter into an 
Intergovernmental Agreement (“IGA”) pursuant to A.R.S. §11-952 to contract for Landfill 
Disposal Services; and 
WHEREAS, the respective City Attorneys for Peoria and Glendale have reviewed the IGA 
and have determined the agreement is in the proper form and their respective cities have the power 
and authority to enter into; and 
WHEREAS, on September 17, 2024, the Council of the City of Peoria approved the IGA 
between the City of Glendale and the City of Peoria for Landfill Disposal Services. 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
SECTION 1. That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and its citizens 
thereof that the Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Peoria for Landfill Disposal 
Services be entered into, which agreement is now on file with the City Clerk of the City of 
Glendale. 
SECTION 2. That the City Manager or designee and the City Clerk be authorized and 
directed to execute and enter into the IGA on behalf of the City of Glendale.
