A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO OF 
A HIGHWAY SAFETY GRANT AGREEMENT, (CONTRACT 
NO. 2025-PTS-026) WITH THE ARIZONA GOVERNOR’S 
OFFICE OF HIGHWAY SAFETY AND AUTHORIZING THE 
ACCEPTANCE AND EXPENDITURE OF THE GRANT 
AWARD IN THE APPROXIMATE AMOUNT OF $55,418 FOR 
PERSONNEL SERVICES EXPENSES, MATERIALS AND 
SUPPLIES FOR THE GLENDALE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO 
ENHANCE STEP ENFORCEMENT THROUGHOUT THE CITY 
OF GLENDALE.    
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
SECTION 1.  That the City Council of the City of Glendale authorizes the City Manager 
to enter into a Highway Safety Grand Agreement (Contract No. 2025-PTS-026) with the Arizona 
Governor’s Office of Highway Safety and accept the grant award, in the approximate amount of 
$55,418, for personnel services expenses, materials, and supplies to enhance the selective traffic 
enforcement program (STEP) throughout the City of Glendale. The contract is now on file in the 
office of the City Clerk of the City of Glendale.  
 
SECTION 2.  That the City Council of the City of Glendale authorizes expenditure of the 
grant award for the Glendale Police Department STEP Enforcement Project.  
 
 
Section 3. That the City Manager or designee is authorized and directed to execute any and 
all documents necessary to enter into the contract and for the acceptance and expenditure of the 
grant award on behalf of the City of Glendale.
