RESOLUTION NO. R25-01
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GLENDALE, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, ADJUSTING
SOLID WASTE FEES PURSUANT TO GLENDALE CITY CODE;
AND SETTING FORTH EFFECTIVE DATES.
WHEREAS, rate adjustments are necessary to provide the City with adequate financial
resources to maintain uninterrupted solid waste collection and management services, provide high-
quality customer service to Glendale residents, and remain in compliance with federal, state, and local
regulations; and
WHEREAS, the Field Operations Department is continuously reviewing rates and fees to
ensure the timely replacement of equipment and adequate staffing; and
WHEREAS, the last rate increase for solid waste collection fees for residential properties
occurred on September 01, 2022; and
WHEREAS, although these rates apply only to residential customers, on October 23, 2024,
consistent with A.R.S. Section 9-499.15, the City provided notice of the potential rate increase and a
written report or data supporting the change to the citizens of Glendale at least 60 days prior to the
City Council considering taking action.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as
follows:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the Glendale City Code, Chapter 18, Article IV, Section 18-
141, a schedule of solid waste services and fees shall be established by resolution by the City
Council.
SECTION 2. That beginning on March 1, 2025, the minimum solid waste collection fee for
residential properties shall be increased to $29.75 per residential property per month, and the extra
refuse container fee for residential properties shall be increased to $15.75 per container per month.
SECTION 3. That beginning January 1, 2026, the minimum solid waste collection fees for
residential properties shall be increased to $31.00 per property per month, and the extra refuse
container fee for residential properties shall be increased to $17.00 per container per month.
SECTION 4. That beginning January 1, 2027, the minimum solid waste collection fees for
residential properties shall be increased to $32.25 per property per month, and the extra refuse
container fee for residential properties shall be increased to $18.25 per container per month.
SECTION 5. That beginning January 1, 2028, the minimum solid waste collection fees for
residential properties shall be increased to $33.50 per property per month, and the extra refuse
container fee for residential properties shall be increased to $18.50 per container per month.

SECTION 6. That beginning January 1, 2029, the minimum solid waste collection fees for
residential properties shall be increased to $34.75 per property per month, and the extra refuse
container fee for residential properties shall be increased to $19.50 per container per month.
SECTION 8. That beginning January 1, 2030, the minimum solid waste collection fees for
residential properties shall be increased to $36.00 per property per month, and the extra refuse
container fee for residential properties shall be increased to $20.50 per container per month.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of
Glendale, Maricopa County, Arizona, this 14th day of January,2025.
