A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GLENDALE, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, APPROVING
THE SUBMISSION OF SIX FORT MCDOWELL YAVAPAI
NATION PROPOSITION 202 GRANT APPLICATIONS: TWO ON
BEHALF OF TWO COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATIONS
SERVING GLENDALE RESIDENTS IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT
OF $30,000, AND FOUR APPLICATIONS FROM THE GLENDALE
POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR PUBLIC SAFETY IN THE TOTAL
AMOUNT OF $36,397.
WHEREAS, the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation requires a City Council resolution from an
eligible government showing that the eligible government will act as a fiscal agent and accept funding
on the non-profit’s behalf, if awarded.
WHEREAS, the Maricopa County Community Colleges District Foundation is a non-profit
501(c)3 organization based in the City of Glendale, Arizona, requesting $5,000 from the Fort
McDowell Yavapai Nation.
WHEREAS, the Fighter Country Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization serving
Glendale residents, requesting $25,000 from the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation.
WHEREAS, the Glendale Police Department is a unit of local government of the City of
Glendale, Arizona, requesting $36,397 from the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council approves the filing of two pass-through applications for the
2025 Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation Prop 202 – 12 % grant on behalf of the non-profit organizations
Maricopa County Community Colleges District Foundation and the Fighter Country Foundation, and
the City of Glendale’s role as sponsor and fiscal agent for the grant, if awarded.
SECTION 2. The City Council approves the filing of four City of Glendale Police Department
applications for the 2025 Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation Prop 202 – 12 % grant in the amount of
$36,397.
SECTION 3. That the City of Glendale accept and expend the respective awards in accordance
with the program requirements.
SECTION 4. That the City Manager or designee and City Clerk are authorized and directed
to execute and deliver such agreement on behalf of the City of Glendale.
