AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GLENDALE, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, AMENDING
THE GLENDALE CITY CODE CHAPTER 24 (MOTOR
VEHICLES
AND
TRAFFIC),
ARTICLE
IV
(SPECIFIC
PARKING PROHIBITIONS) SECTION 24-68 (PARKING ON
RESIDENTIAL LOTS), AND CHAPTER 25 (NUISANCES)
ARTICLE III (ADMINISTRATION AND ENFORCEMENT)
SECTIONS 25-36 (ENFORCEMENT – GENERAL) AND
SECTION 25-42 (COURT-ORDERED ABATEMENT) AND
SETTING FORTH AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows:
SECTION 1. That the Glendale City Code Chapter 24 (Motor Vehicles and Traffic),
Article IV (Specific Parking Prohibitions) Section 24-68 (Parking on Residential Lots) and
Chapter 25 (Nuisances) Article III (Administration and Enforcement) Sections 25-36
(Enforcement – General) and Section 25-42 (Court-ordered Abatement) are amended by adding
and amending the following language and shall read as follows:
CITY CODE CHAPTER 24
Sec. 24-68 – Parking on Residential Lots
(e) Vehicle parking and storage
9. The parking or storage of construction-related equipment, including but not
limited to dump trucks, flatbed hauling trailers, cement mixers, and ditch diggers, shall be
prohibited in a residential district. The only exception to this regulation would be when on-site
construction is being performed by such equipment.
CITY CODE CHAPTER 25
Section 25-36 – Enforcement – General
(g) It shall be unlawful for any person to willfully physically interfere with, hinder, or
obstruct enforcement personnel in the discharge of their duties. A person that violates this
section is subject to a civil sanction of not less than one hundred dollars ($100.00) nor more
than five hundred dollars ($500.00).
Section 25-42 – Court-ordered Abatement
(a) In addition to any other abatement procedure provided in this chapter Glendale City
Code, the City Manager or designer, or the City Prosecutor, in the name of the City of
Glendale, may apply to the municipal court for an order permitting the city to abate any
condition that constitutes a violation of Chapter 25 any section of Glendale city code.
