Contractors abide by ADOSH requirements – maintain a Heat Illness Prevention plan while working on a City project. (City has no responsibility) B. Contractors include language in their bids, proposals, and contracts, to maintain a Heat Illness Prevention plan, and contractor will be responsible for implementing it to protect their employees (City has no responsibility). C. Contractors include language in their bids, proposals, and contracts, to maintain a Heat Illness Prevention plan and implement it on the job, but have the City’s department primarily responsible for the contract (e.g. Parks, Water, Transportation, Building Safety, Engineering departments) to monitor, inspect, audit, and report contractor’s violations; first to the contractor, and if unheeded, to the procurement officer and/or to ADOSH, with the possibility of City terminating the contract.
