RESOLUTION NO. R25-34            
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, DIRECTING 
AND ENTERING INTO AMENDMENT NO. 1 OF THE 
INTERGOVERNMENTAL 
AGREEMENT 
WITH 
THE 
MARICOPA COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT FOR 
HEAT RELIEF RESPONSE. 
WHEREAS, Maricopa County Public Health Department will provide City of Glendale 
with American Rescue Plan Act Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recover Funds (“ARPA”) for 
two (2) heat relief respite centers (the “Project”) to principally serve people experiencing homeless 
or other vulnerable populations at risk of suffering from heat-related illness or death; and 
WHEREAS, Maricopa County shall provide the City of Glendale $497,361.26 for 
Glendale’s 2025 Heat Relief operations. 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
SECTION 1. That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the citizens 
thereof that Amendment No. 1 of the Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of Glendale 
and the Maricopa County Public Health Department for the heat relief operations be entered into, 
which agreement is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Glendale. 
SECTION 2. That the City Manager and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute 
and deliver such agreement on behalf of the City of Glendale.

Glendale, Maricopa County, Arizona, this 13th day of May, 2025.
