RESOLUTION NO. R25-60 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A NON-FINANCIAL 
MEMORANDUM 
OF 
UNDERSTANDING 
BETWEEN 
MARICOPA COUNTY ADMINISTERED BY ITS HUMAN 
SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND CITY OF GLENDALE (MOU) 
FOR WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT SERVICES.  
 
WHEREAS, the Maricopa County Human Services Department, Workforce Development 
Division provides services to County residents through its Workforce Innovation and Opportunity 
Act (WIOA) program (the “Program”); and  
 
WHEREAS, the Program provides various services to County residents including but not 
limited to conducting job searches, exploring career opportunities, improving and/or learning new 
skills, and matching jobseekers with local employment opportunities to promote long-term stable 
employment; and 
 
WHEREAS, the services provided through the Program are consistent with the City’s goal 
to support workforce development activities that benefit City residents. 
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
SECTION 1.  That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the citizens 
thereof that the City enter into this MOU at no cost to the City in order to undertake Workforce 
Development services provided through the Program as described in the MOU.  
 
 
SECTION 2.  That the City Manager or designee and the City Clerk are authorized and 
directed to execute and deliver any and all documents necessary to effectuate said this commitment 
on behalf of the City of Glendale.
