At the April 1, 2025, budget workshop meeting, Council came to a 
consensus to appropriate $250,000 to support the celebration of the 
United States Semiquincentennial. The Council expressed interest in 
organizing a series of events throughout the year leading up to July 4, 
2026.
We are here today seeking specific ideas and suggestions, rather than 
generic themes.
