RESOLUTION NO. R25-44 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO OF A CONTRACT AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT OF MARICOPA COUNTY (2022A005) FOR THE APOLLO GARDENS DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT. WHEREAS, on July 1, 2022, City council previously approved the entering into of an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (FCD 2022A005) (C22-0319), for financial assistance to the City to help reduce the flood hazard posed by the current condition of the property; and WHEREAS, on May 14, 2024, 2024, City council previously approved the entering into of Amendment No. 2 to the Intergovernmental Agreement with the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (FCD 2022A005A) (C22-0319-1), to extend the project completion date to June 30, 2025; and WHEREAS, the City of Glendale and the Flood Control District of Maricopa County wish to further amend said Intergovernmental Agreement. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: SECTION 1. That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the citizens thereof that Contract Amendment No. 2 (C20-0319-2) to the Intergovernmental Agreement with the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (FCD 2022A005B) for the Apollo Gardens Drainage Improvement Project be entered into, which agreement is now on file in the office of the City Clerk for the City of Glendale. SECTION 2. That the Mayor or City Manager and the City Clerk be authorized and directed to execute and deliver said agreement on behalf of the City of Glendale.
