Jefferson Street, 10th Floor Phoenix, AZ 85003 Email: medarisl@mail.maricopa.gov Re: Harquahala Valley Irrigation District 2025 Election of Directors Dear Ms. Medaris: Pursuant to A.R.S. § 16-410(A), Harquahala Valley Irrigation District (“HVID”) hereby requests cancellation of its election of directors scheduled and noticed for November 12, 2025. HVID has received only one timely nomination petition and nominating paper from one candidate. The only qualified elector nominated to fill that seat is Jerry Witt. Enclosed are copies of the referenced nomination petition and nominating paper. HVID respectfully requests that the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors cancel the November 12, 2025, election, and appoint the above-named person to fill the director at large seat for a three-year term commencing January 1, 2026.
