D R A F T MINUTES GOVERNMENT SERVICES COMMITTEE CITY HALL COUNCIL CONFERENCE ROOM 5850 W. GLENDALE AVE. GLENDALE, ARIZONA 85301 JANUARY 7, 2020 2:00 P.M. 1. CALL TO ORDER Vice Mayor Clark called the meeting to order at 2:02 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL Present: Joyce Clark, Vice Mayor Jamie Aldama, Councilmember Lauren Tolmachoff, Councilmember Also Present: Julie K. Bower, City Clerk Councilmember Aldama appeared via telephone. 3. CITIZEN COMMENTS None 4. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES 1. Approval of the minutes of the December 9, 2019 Government Services Committee meeting Motioned by Councilmember Lauren Tolmachoff, seconded by Vice Mayor Joyce Clark to approve the minutes of the December 9, 2019 Government Services Committee meeting. AYE: Vice Mayor Joyce Clark Councilmember Jamie Aldama Councilmember Lauren Tolmachoff Passed 5. RESIGNATIONS Ms. Bower reported the following board and commission members had decided not to seek reappointment when their terms expired on January 31, 2020: Edward McCall, Cholla District, Aviation Advisory Commission April Greer, Ocotillo District, Human Relations Commission 6. NEW BUSINESS 1. Review of Annual Board and Commission Member Survey Questions The committee reviewed and approved the questions for the 2020 board and commission member survey. 7. MOTION TO ENTER INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION Motioned by Councilmember Lauren Tolmachoff, seconded by Councilmember Jamie Aldama to hold an executive session. AYE: Vice Mayor Joyce Clark Councilmember Jamie Aldama Councilmember Lauren Tolmachoff Passed 8. EXECUTIVE SESSION The Committee entered into executive session at 2:09 p.m. for discussion/consideration of appointments and matters relating to various City boards and commissions and other bodies pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.03(A)(1). Motioned by Councilmember Lauren Tolmachoff, seconded by Councilmember Jamie Aldama to adjourn the executive session. NEXT MEETING The next regular meeting of the Government Services Committee will be held on February 4, 2020 at 2:00 p.m., in the Council Conference Room of City Hall, located at 5850 W. Glendale Ave, Glendale, Arizona, 85301. 10.
