Effective July 3, 2015, revised legislation requires that “Racketeering monies received by cities, town, and counties are to be reported quarterly to its City Council (cities and towns) or Board of Supervisors (counties) in a form prescribed and approved by ACJS and the Joint Legislative Budget Committee.” The El Mirage Police Department prepares a Forfeitures Monies Quarterly Report providing details of its individual agency activities the month following the end of each quarter. On April 15, 2025, the report was sent to Christina Roberts, RICO Administrator, at the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office (MCAO). MCAO then provides a consolidated report to the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission. In addition, the report was sent to the City of El Mirage City Manager, Mayor, and City Council as required by SB1170, Ch. 40. For your information, the RICO Forfeiture Monies Third Quarter Report, January 1, 2025, through March 31, 2025, is attached. Activity for this quarter includes interest earned and deposits for forfeitures.
