CALL TO ORDER THE LOCAL FIRE BOARD Chair Charles Erickson called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. ROLL CALL Present: Charles Erickson, Chair Kyle Borg, Board Member Kevin Phelps, Board Member Absent: Jerry Weiers, Mayor Anthony Love, Board Member Also Present: Jim Brown, Human Resources Director Vicki Moss, Administrator, HR Cynthia Kelley, Board Attorney Michael Hamblin, Assistant City Attorney Justin Harris, Police Sergeant Jennifer Livingston, Police Officer Gary Benson, Assistant Fire Chief Charlotte Beadles, HR Benefits Analyst Erik Elias, Management Analyst Attendees: — Eric Eckert, Retired Battalion Chief (via Telephone) CITIZEN COMMENTS There were no citizens present. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES Motioned by Board Member Kyle Borg, seconded by Board Member Kevin Phelps The Board voted to approve the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System - Local Fire Board minutes of June 26, 2024. Public Safety Personnel Retirement System - Local Fire Board Minutes of June 26, 2024 NEW BUSINESS There is no new business for open session. EXECUTIVE SESSION Upon a public majority vote of a quorum of the Local Fire Board, the Board may hold an executive session, which will not be open to the public, regarding any item listed on the agenda but only for the following purposes: (i) discussion or consideration of personnel matters (A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(1)); (ii) discussion or consideration of records exempt by law from public inspection (A.R.S. §38-431.03(A)(2)); (iii) discussion or consultation for legal advice with the Board attorneys (A.R.S.§38-431.03(A)(3)); Motioned by Board Member Kyle Borg, seconded by Board Member Kevin Phelps The Board voted to go into Executive Session at 9:32 a.m. All attendees that were not Board Members or supporting staff exited the conference room prior to the start of the Executive Session. B. e Mark Wine The Board reviewed and discussed the application for Accidental Disability Retirement submitted by Retired Battalion Chief Eric Eckert. ADJOURN EXECUTIVE SESSION AND RECONVENE IN OPEN SESSION Motioned by Board Member Kyle Borg, seconded by Board Member Kevin Phelps The Board voted to adjourn Executive Session at 9:36 a.m. and reconvened in open session. Attendees who had exited the conference room were invited back in. NEXT MEETING The next regular meeting of the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System Local Fire Board will be held on September 25, 2024, at 9:30 a.m., at the Glendale Regional Public Safety Training Center 1st Floor Conference Room, 103, 11550 W. Glendale Ave., Glendale, AZ, 85307. 11.
