D R A F T MINUTES LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD GLENDALE PUBLIC LIBRARY 5959 W. BROWN ST. GLENDALE, ARIZONA 85302 NOVEMBER 13, 2024 6:00P.M. 1. CALL TO ORDER 2. ROLL CALL Present: Diane Kocur, Chair Cody Bro, Board Member April Greer, Board Member Gary Johnson, Board Member Meegan Tosh, Board Member Absent: Theresa Fowler, Vice Chair Thomas Varela, Board Member Also Present: Dawn Ferro, Interim Chief Librarian Erin Garred, Interim Branch Manager-Foothills Library Esther Peneff, Administrative Support Specialist 3. CITIZEN COMMENTS None. 4. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES a. Library Advisory Board Minutes of October 9, 2024. Motioned by Board Member Cody Bro, seconded by Board Member April Greer to amend the minutes showing that Meegan Tosh was recommended as the Vice Chair. AYE: Chair Diane Kocur Board Member Cody Bro Board Member April Greer Board Member Gary Johnson Board Member Meegan Tosh Passed 5. NEW BUSINESS a. ACTION-LIBRARY BOARD CHAIR RECOMMENDATION Motioned by Board Member Meegan Tosh, seconded by Board Member April Greer to nominate Theresa Fowler as the Library Advisory Chair. AYE: Chair Diane Kocur Board Member Cody Bro Board Member April Greer Board Member Gary Johnson Board Member Meegan Tosh Passed b. INFORMATION: FOOTHILLS LIBRARY UPDATES AND TOUR The interim Foothills Branch Manager, Erin Garred, gave a tour of the Foothills library and answered questions from the board members. 6. INFORMATION: FY2023-2024 LIBRARY ACCOMPLISHMENTS a. Interim Chief Librarian Ferro provided the Board with a PowerPoint presentation of the Fiscal Year 2023-24 Library accomplishments. 7. BOARD MEMBER COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS Staff answered any questions the board members had. Board Member Longoria gave thanks for the teen area. 8. NEXT MEETING The next regular meeting of the Library Advisory Board will be held on December 11, at 6:00 p.m., at the Heroes Regional Park Library located at 6075 N. 83rd Avenue, Glendale, Arizona, 85308. 9.
