CALL TO ORDER The Aviation Advisory Commission meeting was called to order at 6:07 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL Present: Chair Bud Zomok Vice Chair Michael Portik Commissioner Bill Eikost Commissioner Quentin Tolby Absent: Commissioner Larry Rovey Also Present: Matt Smith, Airport Administrator Julie Patterson, Management Assistant 3. CITIZEN COMMENTS There were no citizen comments. 4. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES Approval of the Aviation Advisory Commission Minutes of September 18, 2024, was Motioned by Vice Chair Michael Portik, seconded by Commissioner Bill Eikost AYE: Chair Bud Zomok Vice Chair Michael Portik Commissioner Bill Eikost Commissioner Quentin Tolby Other: Commissioner Larry Rovey (ABSENT) Passed 5. AIRPORT BUSINESS Commissioners made a selection for Chair and Vice Chair for 2025. The officers will remain the same with Commissioner Zomok as the Chair and Commissioner Portik remaining the Vice Chair. Motioned by Commissioner Bill Eikost, seconded by Vice Chair Michael Portik AYE: Chair Bud Zomok Vice Chair Michael Portik Commissioner Bill Eikost Commissioner Quentin Tolby Other: Commissioner Larry Rovey (ABSENT) Passed 6. STAFF REPORTS Presented by Matt Smith, Airport Administrator The Airport operations update was presented to the Commissioners. 1. The Airport finance update was presented to the Commissioners. 2. The current projects and the five-year Capital Improvement plan were presented to the Commissioners. 3. 8. LUKE AIR FORCE BASE OPERATIONS There was no Luke representative present. 9. COMMISSION COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS The commissioners would like follow-up on a few items that were discussed. Check the October 2024 monthly revenue at the airport. 1. A list of the proposed fee increases at the airport. Comparison of the fees at other airports. 1. Projected revenue if the rates were already increased. 2. 2. 10. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS The commissioners would like a presentation on the Eastside Development plan. 11. NEXT MEETING The next regular meeting of the Aviation Advisory Commission will be held on January 15, 2025 at 6:00 p.m., in the conference room on the second floor of the Airport terminal building, 6801 N. Glen Harbor Blvd., Glendale, Arizona, 85307. 12.
