CALL TO ORDER THE LOCAL POLICE BOARD Chair Charles Erickson called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. ROLL CALL Present: Charles Erickson, Chair Jerry Weiers, Mayor Brent Durham, Board Member Mitchell Ervin, Board Member Absent: Kevin Phelps, Board Member Also Present: Jim Brown, Board Secretary & Director of Human Resources & Risk Management Vicki Moss, Assistant Director of Human Resources & Risk Management Mike Hamblin, Assistant City Attorney Dolly Alexander, Benefits Manager Erik Elias, Management Analyst John Davidge, Police Sergeant Maylee Acosta, City Intern CITIZEN COMMENTS No citizens were present. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES Motioned by Board Member Mitchell Ervin, seconded by Board Member Brent Durham The Board voted to approve the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System - Local Police Board minutes of December 18, 2024. AYE: Chair Charles Erickson Mayor Jerry Weiers Board Member Brent Durham Board Member Mitchell Ervin Passed A. Public Safety Personnel Retirement System - Local Police Board Minutes of December 18, 2024. 5. NEW BUSINESS The Board was reminded that links for New Board Member training can be found on the PSPRS website. The Board was also given updated PSPRS Local Board Member Handbooks including legal reference material. 6. EXECUTIVE SESSION Upon a public majority vote of a quorum of the Local Police Board, the Board may hold an executive session, which will not be open to the public, regarding any item listed on the agenda but only for the following purposes: (i) discussion or consideration of personnel matters (A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(1)); (ii) discussion or consideration of records exempt by law from public inspection (A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(2)); (iii) discussion or consultation for legal advice with the Board's attorneys (A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(3)); Motioned by Board Member Mitchell Ervin, seconded by Board Member Brent Durham The Board voted to go into Executive Session at 9:34 a.m. All attendees that were not Board Members or supporting staff exited the conference room prior to the start of Executive Session. ADJOURN EXECUTIVE SESSION AND RECONVENE IN OPEN SESSION Motioned by Board Member Mitchell Ervin, seconded by Board Member Brent Durham The Board voted to adjourn Executive Session at 9:45 a.m. and reconvened in open session. CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE VOTE ON EXECUTIVE SESSION ITEMS Admission of four (4) new and one (1) lateral transfer of Police Personnel into the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System (PSPRS) with any pre-existing conditions noted on the Pre-Existing Conditions Report: ¢Kavin Colebrook ¢ Michael Gossett e Aine McCarthy ¢ Sean Shields ¢Calvyn Villarino A. BOARD COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS There were no Board comments or suggestions. 10. NEXT MEETING The next regular meeting of the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System Local Police Board will be held on April 23, 2025 at 9:30 a.m., at the Glendale Regional Public Safety Training Center (GRPSTC) 1st Floor Conference Room 103, located at 11550 W. Glendale Ave., Glendale, Arizona, 85307. 11.
