January 15, 2025 To Whom It May Concern: Dana Pop was a caregiver to our father, or 3 % years. He was very frail and could no longer walk and had to use a wheelchair. He had a urinary catheter bag that she constantly changed for him and kept the area clean so he would not get infections. He also had COPD and was on oxygen. We had to take my father to the emergency room several times and Dana insisted on going with us. Each time the physician in charge was always very complimentary on the care Dana provided for our father. She kept detailed records of his medications and dosage times. We were so happy that Dana came to the ER with us because the physician asked us questions and she supplied the answers immediately. She provided stimulating activities to keep our father involved and alert. She helped him to bathe so he was always clean. She cooked nutritious meals that he enjoyed. Her home was always meticulously clean even when we dropped by unannounced. | can’t say enough about Dana. My father loved her and so did all of us as a family. She was our angel. She has found her niche in life and | am so grateful for all that she has done for our family. | would absolutely recommend her, without a shadow of a doubt, to anyone that needs care for their loved one. At that time my mother «ss in the hospital undergoing treatment for advanced lung cancer. We realized that she was no longer going to be able to independently care for herself and, in fact, the level of ongoing care was going to be beyond that of myself or other family members. When we met Dana in her home | knew right away that this was no ordinary care facility. From a facility standpoint her home is beautiful, well kept, very clean, and has a positive and comforting spirit. Dana works very hard at keeping her home that way not just for the people she is caring for but also for her family. Speaking of her family, | am so glad to have met her husband Dan and her son and daughter. They all truly welcomed my Mom and family with open arms. also knew very quickly that Dana herself is certainly no ordinary care giver. For just over 6 months | watched her care for my mom. During that time she showed the utmost in courtesy, respect, concern, and loving care. It is my belief that she has been called and placed by God to care for people during one the most difficult times in a persons life: when they are sick and dying. Dana has supported this belief Not just in my conversations with her, but also in her actions with my mother. In truth, her care went far beyond my mother. She also showed great compassion to me and other family members. She and her family welcomed us into their home, listened to us, comforted us, encouraged us, prayed with us, and even fed us delicious Romanian treats! | do not have adequate words to express the debt | owe her for her kindness. | can say this with full confidence: Dana loves God, her family, and has a heart to care for others. My mother passed away on February 13, 2013. During that heartbreaking time Dana cried with us, prayed with us, and comforted us with warmth and love. It was during this time that | truly realized how blessed we were to have had Dana walk my mom and us down this difficult road. She is a special care giver and her home a special place that will forever hold special memories for me. Without reservation | would recommend Dana Pop to a family that finds themselves in need of care for a loved one. If you have any questions or would like further information about my experiences with the Pop family, please feel free to contact me, Sincerely, Whom It May Concern, | have been to Dana’s group home numerous times and | have witnessed her caring and friendly attitude. She cares for her patients with passion and empathy and all of her patients love her. | have witnessed interaction between Patient’s family members and Dana, always with positive feedback from them. She has always been honest and friendly with a positive attitude. Dana is very knowledgeable and cares deeply for her Patients. She has always treated them as if they were her own family members. St. John Road Glendale, AZ 85308 Dear Dana: A long overdue note of thanks. When HB a: I visited you the first time, it was unanimous that we all preferred Brightest Light. While we were comfortable in our decision, little did we know that Mom would be more than taken care of—she was immediately shown care, companionship, and love far beyond our expectations. I have written Hospice of the Valley (see attached letter) and expressed our thanks to them and you. Frankly, I believe that you did far more for Mom and assumed some of the duties and responsibilities that Hospice was to have taken care of. We are all deeply indebted to you and your family. Before Mom became extremely ill, she also acknowledged the wonderful care that you were providing when she told me that “God has brought Dana to us”. Please express our sincere thanks to and for making Mom feel comfortable and for opening your home to all of our family. We were very fortunate to have been able to visit, celebrate (birthdays, holidays, etc.) and to take Mom out for small trips as much as we did. You always made sure that Mom was properly dressed and her hair done for all occasions. Dana, do not hesitate to use us as a reference to prospective clients. Therefore, feel free to use our name and telephone number when you deem it appropriate. May the good Lord continue to bless you and your family. We will be forever thankful to you for the love, care, and respect shown to our mother. December 1, 2006 a We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the wonderful caregivers of Hospice of the Valley who looked after our mother for over nine months. This would include the Hospice of the Valley hospital staff at 55" and Thunderbird as well as I Who were assigned to my Mom after her transfer to Brightest Light Senior Living. In late December, 2005, my mother was diagnosed with cancer of the kidney, lungs, stomach and possibly the brain. With the knowledge that she could not recover, our concer was that she be kept as comfortable as possible. It is believed that ma and|6id all possible medically to treat our mother’s pain, and we are grateful for that. When Mom was transferred from the hospice hospital to the hospice group home, Brightest Light Senior Living, we were advised that Mom’s life expect ancy would possibly extend from two weeks to two months. Mom passed away a and many of the nine months were good and for the most part pain free. There is no doubt that Mom lived Jonger than expected due to the excellent care given by (Brightest Light Senior Living). In addition to basic care such as feeding and dressing, Dana and her family adopted our mother (and our family) and showed love and respect to her at all times. Not long before Mom passed, she told me that “God has brought Dana to us”. Although relatively pain free, my mother struggled in the last months of her life. Her life challenges were made less burdensome by the kindness and caring provided by Hospice of the Valley. We are so very thankful for the professional staff members of your very fine organization. Sincerely,
