in Glendale 
• Created the Peer Navigator position to continue 
services

What is a Peer Navigator? 
• Provides lived-experience support to individuals 
experiencing homelessness.
• Offers guidance, encouragement, and 
connections to housing and services.
• Acts as a bridge between outreach teams, 
service providers, and clients.

Who Is the Peer Navigator 
• Ryan Hendrix
• Started July 8, 2025
• Plays a key role in the City’s homeless & opioid 
response
• Developed the program and data tracking 
• Working with our partners and MROP squad
• Created a resource guide

Services Provided 
• Street outreach and engagement 
• Resource referrals
• Warm hand off to housing and support services 
• Support and encouragement

Outcomes  
• 30 Day period (Aug 6 – Sep 6) 
• 60 Interactions
• 77 Referrals provided 
• 67% are phone calls 
• 70% are or previous were homeless
