D R A F T MINUTES LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD GLENDALE PUBLIC LIBRARY 5959 W. BROWN ST. GLENDALE, ARIZONA 85302 FEBRUARY 11, 2026 6:00P.M. 1. CALL TO ORDER 2. ROLL CALL Present: Cody Bro, Chair Meegan Tosh, Vice Chair Theresa Fowler, Board Member Thomas Varela, Board Member Joanne Henning, Board Member Jodi Decker, Board Member Also Present:Vicki Rios, Assistant City Manager Dawn Ferro, Deputy Director-Library Services Esther Peneff, Management Assistant 3. CITIZEN COMMENTS None. 4. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES a. Library Advisory Board Minutes of January 14, 2026. Motioned by Vice Chair Meegan Tosh, seconded by Board Member Joanne Henning to approve the January 14, 2026, Library Advisory Board minutes. AYE:Chair Cody Bro Vice Chair Meegan Tosh Board Member Thomas Varela Board Member Theresa Fowler Board Member Joanne Henning Board Member Jodi Decker Passed 5. NEW BUSINESS a. INFORMATION: BUDGET AND FINANCE; FINANCIAL UPDATE Ms. Rios showed a PowerPoint presentation, spoke about the bond process, capital improvement plan and budget and answered questions. 6. DEPUTY DIRECTOR UPDATE a. Ms. Ferro gave updates on the following: 2/12: 2nd opportunity for Autism training 4/1-4/3: Public Library virtual training for two team members. Vehicle replacement fund: The library was chosen to receive a 2025 courier van for the library deliveries (books/furniture). Facilities: Heroes Regional Park library tour on January 28 to show the new meeting room expansion, an additional 2050 sf. The first program was Zumbini (Zumba for children 0–4 years old), which had approximately 60 people. Velma Teague-no renderings yet. April 7 (5:30 p.m.) - Board and Commissions appreciation dinner. Songwriters had 895 attendees with two additional stages at the Main library. Next year will be the 30th year. February 20-America 250 traveling museum coming to the Main library. Only 30 libraries were chosen to show the replica liberty bell prior to it going to the state capital. Mayor Weiers will be giving the welcome at 10:00 a.m., food trucks, music groups, time capsule foundation, patriotic story walk and scavenger hunt for an all-day event. 7. BOARD MEMBER COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS None. 8. NEXT MEETING The next regular meeting of the Library Advisory Board will be held on March 11, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., in the Board Room of the Main Library, located at 5959 W. Brown St., Glendale, Arizona, 85302. 9.
