ROLL CALL Present: Cody Bro, Chair Meegan Tosh, Vice Chair Theresa Fowler, Board Member Thomas Varela, Board Member Joanne Henning, Board Member Jodi Decker, Board Member Victoria Fernandes, Board Member Also Present:Vicki Rios, Assistant City Manager Levi Gibson, Director, Budget and Finance Kimberly Hall, Director-Community Services Dawn Ferro, Deputy Director-Library Services Kristin Fletcher-Spear, Library Administrator Kiyoshi Parke, Branch Manager, Main Library Jackie Goodman, Branch Manager, Heroes Regional Park Library Esther Peneff, Management Assistant 3. CITIZEN COMMENTS None. 4. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES a. Library Advisory Board Minutes of February 11, 2026. Motioned by Vice Chair Meegan Tosh, seconded by Board Member Joanne Henning to approve the February 11, 2026 Library Advisory Board minutes. NEW BUSINESS a. ACTION: REVIEW LIBRARY PROJECTS AND POLLING RESULTS Mr. Gibson and Ms. Rios review PowerPoint presentation regarding library projects, polling results and answered questions from the Library Advisory board. A vote would be needed to go to the bond committee for future projects. Motioned by Board Member Joanne Henning, seconded by Board Member Thomas Varela recommends approval to bring before the Bond Committee. INFORMATION: LIBRARY OF THINGS PRESENTATION Ms. Parke explains the Library of Things and presents some of the items that will be available as of Monday, April 13th. c. INFORMATION: HEROES REGIONAL PARK LIBRARY TOUR Ms. Goodman guided the board members on the tour of the Heroes Regional Park library. 6. DEPUTY DIRECTOR UPDATE a. Ms. Ferro gave the the following updates: The libraries had 221 programs in February which brought 5,735 attendees including he AZ250 event that had 732 attendees. One of the daughters of the American Revolution had donated $400 towards materials because of the AZ250 event. Libraries and the Arts department have joined together for the Finding Your Joy public art bingo from April 19-May 23, 2026. Heroes Regional Park Library April 30 - El Día De Nino's literacy program. New meeting room has additional 2050 square feet, with new restroom and new technology. Velma Teague Library-May 2-Free comic book day event. Opened as of March 9th. Staff Updates: Lisa Colcord, retirement on May 5th after 26 years of service. Rayah Obezo was promoted to Public Service Assistant from Customer Service Assistant. Mary Barnes, Circulation Supervisor, started on 3/16. Ema Havea, Public Service Assistant, started on 3/23. Traci Soto, Public Service Assistant, started on 4/20. 7. BOARD MEMBER COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS None. 8. NEXT MEETING The next regular meeting of the Library Advisory Board will be held on May 13th at 6:00 p.m., in the Board Room of the Main Library, located at 5959 W. Brown St., Glendale, Arizona, 85302. 9.
