Jefferson, 10th Floor Phoenix, AZ 85003, with the following members present: Jack Sellers, Chairman, District 1; Bill Gates, Vice Chairman, District 3 (remote); Steve Chucri, Supervisor, District 2 (joined late, remote); Clint Hickman, Supervisor, District 4 (remote); Steve Gallardo, Supervisor, District 5 (remote). Also present: Juanita Garza, Clerk; Joy Rich, County Manager (remote); Andrea Cummings, Legal Counsel (remote). 1. EXECUTIVE SESSION Vote to convene in Executive Session to consider the items on the Executive Agenda dated Thursday, April 01, 2021, for Board of Supervisors and relevant Special Districts pursuant to the statutory authority listed for each item. Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02(D), notice is hereby given that an emergency session of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors was held April 1, 2021, at approximately 10:00 am at 301 W. Jefferson – 10th floor, Phoenix, AZ, 85003. The meeting was held with members attending either telephonically or in person. Juanita Garza, Clerk of the Board, stated that the emergency was due to the need to get legal advice, regarding newly received information from the Senate concerning compliance with the election-related subpoenas. Motion to approve by Supervisor Bill Gates, seconded by Supervisor Clint Hickman Ayes: Jack Sellers, Bill Gates, Clint Hickman, Steve Gallardo Absent: Steve Chucri, ~ Supervisor Chucri entered Executive Session after the vote ~ Special Emergency Meeting Minutes Thursday, April 01, 2021 Page 2 of 2 OPEN SESSION 2. POSSIBLE ACTION RE: INFORMATION AND/OR LEGAL ADVICE RE: BOARD RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY RE: ELECTIONS, ELECTION EQUIPMENT, AUDITS, SENATE SUBPOENAS, AND LITIGATION Take possible action as directed in April 1, 2021, Emergency Executive Session.
