The final day for candidate nomination papers for the Electrical District Number Seven Directors’ election was September 30, 2022. As there are two Director positions up for election this year, and only one candidate petition was filed for each position, the District hereby requests that the Maricopa Board of Supervisors cancel the January 14, 2023, directors’ election. The Board positions that are up for election in 2023 are Director seats that are currently filled by Leyton Woolf and DeWayne Justice. Copies of their nomination papers are enclosed. Please place this matter on the agenda for the next formal Maricopa Board of Supervisors meeting which, we understand, will be on November 2, 2022. Please call me if you have any questions. Very truly yours, Sheryl A. Sweeney Enclosures c: R.D. Justice (w/out encl.)
