Extension Justification
1. Provide a detailed justification and explanation
for extending the period of performance.
With Coplink being phased out on 5/31/2021, we have
been working with the Law Enforcement Information
Exchange (LInX) vendor to utilize the remaining funds to
expand the use of the LInX application through additional
agencies around the region by facilitating the integration
costs. LInX and MCSO have been working on developing
initial estimates of costs and potential agencies that would
be willing to participate in this program. Contracts and
IGAs are currently being developed by MCSO, however
due to this being a new process and an entirely new IGA
will need to be developed and go through MCSO channels
as well as each partner agencies channel it is not believed
that the integrations will happen on or before September
2022.
