Subject: Termination Notice of Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA)
C-76-04-001-2-00 Thompson Peak and Mount Ord.

Dear Mr. Gates:

In accordance with Section 7 of the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) by and between the U.S.
Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and Maricopa County, this letter
serves as a 30-day written notification to Maricopa County that DEA will no longer be maintaining radio
communications equipment at Thompson Peak and Mount Ord. Furthermore, DEA will be terminating
the above-referenced IGA.

At your convenience, please provide written confirmation of the Board of Supervisors concurrence
regarding the termination of IGA C-76-04-001-2-00 (Thompson Peak and Mount Ord).
