PHOENIX TO MARICOPA COUNTY RESOLUTION & ORDER.DOC

RESOLUTION AND ORDER

WHEREAS, pursuant to A.R.S. § 9-471.02 and 9-471.03, the City of Phoenix passed and 
adopted Ordinance No. S-48416 declaring the deannexation of the territory described as follows:
The East 22 feet of the West 55 feet of the South half of the Southwest quarter of Section 
28, Township 1 North, Range 1 East, G&SRB&M, Maricopa County, Arizona, as 
previously annexed by city of Phoenix Ordinance S-36171, recorded at Document 2009-
0530194, of official records of Maricopa County, Arizona.
WHEREAS, Maricopa County passed and adopted Ordinance No. C-06-23-050-X-01 
annexing the same territory described above; and
WHEREAS, the aforesaid Ordinances were filed with the Maricopa County Board of 
Supervisors; and
WHEREAS, after such notice as was appropriate and legally required, the Maricopa 
County Board of Supervisors scheduled a hearing on the matter on August 17, 2022; and
WHEREAS, it was determined at such hearing that the requirements of Section 9-471.02 
and 9-471.03, Arizona Revised Statutes, have been satisfied; and
WHEREAS, no protests were filed before the Board of Supervisors, 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the territory be deannexed 
from the City of Phoenix and that the same territory be annexed to Maricopa County; and
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this order be filed with the Recorder's Office of 
Maricopa County.
