AMENDMENT NO. 1 
TO THE 
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT  
BETWEEN 
MARICOPA COUNTY 
ADMINISTERED BY ITS 
HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT 
AND 
CITY OF TEMPE 
 
I. 
Maricopa County (the “County”), by and through its Human Services Department, and the 
City of Tempe (“City”) entered into a financial Intergovernmental Agreement (“Agreement”) 
to integrate the County’s workforce development system into the City’s social and 
community services resource network. The Agreement was fully executed on or about 
June 26, 2019. Under the Agreement, the City provides funds to the County for program 
service delivery. The Agreement began on July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2022. The 
Agreement may be extended for two additional three-year terms. The County and the City 
collectively are referred to as the “Parties.” 
 
II. 
The Parties now agree to enter into this Amendment No. 1 to amend the Agreement as 
follows: 
 
A. 
Extend the Agreement Termination Date from June 30, 2022, to June 30, 2025 
(“Extension Period No. 1”). 
 
B. 
Revise Section 6.0 (Funding) as follows; 
 
6.2 
Add that the City shall compensate the County an amount not to exceed 
$51,661 for the period of July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023; 
6.3 
Add that the City shall compensate the County an amount not to exceed 
$53,391 for the period of July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024;  
6.4 
Add that the City shall compensate the County an amount not to exceed 
$55,199 for the period of July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025; 
6.5 
Remove in its entirety. 
 
C. 
Add 10.1.1.7 to paragraph 10.0 (Responsibilities of Organizations) as follows; 
 
10.1.1.7 
Ensure comprehensive services are provided to individuals, to 
include completing Human Services Department program applications for 
eligible individuals and providing referral services. 
 
D. 
Update paragraph 12.0 (Notices) as follows;

Add Attachment A, which modifies the Itemized Service Budget for Extension 
Period No. 1. 
III. 
Section II above contains all the changes made by this Amendment No. 1. All other terms 
and conditions of the original Agreement shall remain the same and in full force and effect 
as approved. 
 
IV. 
The Parties have authorized the undersigned to execute this Amendment No. 1 on their 
behalf, and it shall be effective upon approval and signature by both Parties.
