exclusively to current EL students and not paid out of other funds for non-EL students.   $2127.86
 
 
Prescott Valley Charter School - Salary for part time ELL Tutor/Teacher (not teacher of record) for supplemental reading support for ELL
students during schoolwide RTI time for grades K -5 This support is supplemental and provided for the sole and exclusive benefit of ELL
students. ELL students receive this support in addition to Title I and other Gen Ed supports. Supplemental Tutoring at $25/hour for 608 hours

Franklin Phonetic Primary School, Inc. -  EL Coordinator to provide supplemental academic coaching to ELL teachers, interpreting ELL student
data and teaching teachers of ELL students effective instructional methods and strategies of ELL students.    These duties will be outside of
the normal contracted hours of the ELL coordinator and is supplemental to the ELL coordinators job description.  This expenditure is
supplemental coaching and supports ELL students by informing and coaching teachers in research based instructional strategies to utilize
when working with ELL students.  Supplemental coaching to take place outside of the normal work hours of the ELL coordinator during the

mapping after watching video on curriculum mapping. 1 hour for PD and additional  hours for curriculum mapping using the EL standards

New Horizon School for the Performing Arts - Stipend for HQ ELL Literacy Coach.  The ELL Literacy Coach provides adequate support,
mentoring and coaching for teachers of ELL students.  She ensures teachers receive high-quality professional development in the area of
English language development.  The EL Literacy coach hours worked are outside regular contract hours. ($1000.00)  Stipend for EL teacher to
create a parent newsletter specifically for parents of EL students.  This newsletter will come out 4 times/year in order to give parents of EL
students practical tips for working with their students (i.e., homework help, test prep tips, behavior, student motivation, reading, speaking and
listening, etc.) (4 newsletters x $350/ea = $1,400)         $2400.00 
 
 
Paloma School District - Stipend for District EL Coordinator.   The LEA will maintain an EL Coordinator. The EL Coordinator will provide PD for

English learners," "Strategies for Improved Curricula Implementation for English learners," "Assessment Practices and Measures for Teachers

language game night, language tips, etc.   Such activities encourage family participation in the EL student's acquisition of language.   (SNS

Aguila Elementary District -  Two sessions of professional development provided by Rosetta Stone to train teachers of ELs on strategies to help

Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley DBA:  Mesa Arts Academy - Purchase Wolters Kluwer reading connection monthly for parents of EL students
to support language development at home. This service is not provided to parents of non-EL students or paid for from other funds for Non-EL's.
This is a newsletter for parents of EL students that is called the Reading Connection. It contains many reading strategies for parents of EL students
to incorporate at home. The strategies help with oral language, vocabulary and writing practices. This has a newsletter for every month in which we
send out to only parents of EL students. It is in both Spanish and English to allow parents of EL students to implement strategies at home. Our EL
teacher also picks strategies from the newsletter to implement so the EL students can show their parents.        $488.61

Cave Creek Unified District - Registration fee for 5 school-site EL intervention teachers and 5 teachers to attend ADE OELAS professional
development, "Foundational Concepts and Policies for Arizona's 'New' Context" EL training. $90 per teacher ($900.00)   Purchase SIOP training
services through Center for Applied Linguistics for classroom teachers across all campuses to better support EL students. In a series of workshops
throughout the school year, teachers learn about and practice the eight components of the SIOP Model by engaging in a variety of instructional
activities. They plan and implement lessons, reflect on their experiences with other workshop participants, and refine their instructional practices
using the SIOP Model. This will benefit EL students in the general education classroom. ($9750.03)    $10650.03
 
 
 
 Country Gardens Charter Schools -  Parents of EL students and EL students will attend a virtual parents of EL students night via Zoom, one highly
qualified teacher work with parents of EL students and EL students on AZM2 writing strategies. Parents of EL students will learn AZM2 writing
strategies that they can use with their EL children. This event will take place outside of the teacher's normal contracted work time and is
exclusively for parents of EL students and EL students.  This type of zoom meeting is not offered to parents of non-EL students or non-EL
students. All of our staff/teachers are leased employees through Country Gardens Academic Services, LLC and are paid through them.  (225.00) 
 Two SEI teachers will enroll in the SSRD writing course, the cost is $199 per person enrolled. The two SEI teachers will learn new writing
strategies that will be implemented with our EL students during targeted SEI instruction time. These teachers work exclusively with EL students

Desert Heights Charter Schools -  $125 for the cost of send the EL Teacher  to Teaching Reading Effectively (TRE) Enrichment for Teachers of
English Learners. The EL Teacher will attend  Teaching Reading Effectively (TRE) Enrichment for Teachers of English Learners. This will provide
her with a deeper understanding of language acquisition. All sessions will explicitly connect the four principles for promoting student agency in
English learners to the five features of effective reading instruction.        $125.00
 
 
Edison Project - Registration fees for The Writing Revolution Online PD for teacher instructing EL students. One ELA intervention teacher will
complete the "Advancing Thinking through Writing" course from The Writing Revolution to learn an explicit set of sequenced strategies for teaching
expository writing to improve the structure, coherence, and clarity of students’ writing, beginning at the sentence-level.  Non-EL staff does not have

platforms and accessible to teachers of EL students.  This program is not purchased with other funds for other non-EL students
($3660.90).  Purchase of Reading A-Z Raz Kids Plus ELL reading intervention program to provide language and literacy resources and
assessments for EL students at 6 elementary schools (5 "brick and mortar" schools and 1 online school).  This program is not provided for non-

Desert Heights Charter School -  $733.00.00 toward the purchase of Learning A-Z products (Reading A-Z/Raz-Kids, EL Edition, Writing A-Z,
Vocabulary A-Z, and Headsprout to be used exclusively to provide instruction to EL students.Learning A-Z products will be purchased (Reading
A-Z/Raz-Kids, EL Edition, Vocabulary A-Z, and Headsprout to be used exclusively to provide instruction to EL students.  This will be used to
support the home-school connection for EL students. Raz-Kids Plus EL Edition online leveled reading program, will allow for parent
involvement at home. Raz-Kids Plus allows EL students to listen to the stories, read stories, record their reading, and take brief comprehension
quizzes. Raz-Kids Plus will enable parents to support their EL student by allowing parents to read the leveled stories with their EL student
and/or assist their EL student with decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension needs. Parents can submit their email address to the site
administrator, so they have access to view their EL student's progress throughout the year. While the leveled readers are in English, Raz-Kids
Plus provides site administrators with informational parent letters in multiple languages to ensure that parents understand how to best help
their EL student access and use the program. ($733.00)    $1376.22. toward the renewal and hard copy curriculum materials of Logic of
English Foundations and Essentials On-Line Curriculum. This curriculum will be used exclusively to provide instruction aligned with AZ state
standards and 2019 ELP standards for EL instruction. The purchase of Logic of English (LOE) Essentials, levels 1-30, and Foundations, levels
A-D, online edition renewals. This curriculum will be used exclusively to provide supplemental instruction, aligned with AZ state standards and
2019 ELP standards, for EL instruction. This is not provided to non-EL students purchased by other funds. Any additional cost will be paid
through M&O funds. ($1376.22)   $1574.28 .toward the purchase of 3 iPads to supplement the instruction for SEI/EL students in the SEI
classroom. This item will be used exclusively for instruction of EL students. The remainder of the cost will be paid through general education
funds.  The purchase o f 3 iPads to supplement the instruction for SEI/EL student in the SEI pull-out classroom. These will be used exclusively
for instruction of EL students in the SEI Pull-Out Classroom. The remainder of the cost will be paid through general education funds. The EL

activity promotes family engagement by promoting engagement and participation amongst the parents of ELL students, ELL students, teacher
and school.  Fliers will be printed to promote participation in this ELL family engagement night.   Fliers will be printed to promote participation in
this ELL family engagement meeting.  Ream of Paper to run homework packets.  Family Engagement night for ELL students only to teach

child at home.  The newsletter will also include strategies for working with their students for improved academic outcomes (i.e. student

Narrative Description
Nadaburg Unified District -    Purchase 32 laptops for use in EL classroom. 32  x $450 per computer = $14,400 + $558.95 for
shipping.  purchase laptops for use in the EL classroom only. EL students do have access to devices in the general education classroom.
Purchasing additional laptops for the EL classrooms for the certified SEI teacher to utilize for engagement strategies and individual
accountability when they are pulled out for their EL service minutes would greatly increase the quality of instruction and assessment for
learning. When the EL teacher utilizes integrated technological instruction in the pull-out time, it allows her to utilize formative assessment
throughout the lesson.  EL students would utilize the devices to work with the EL teacher and respond individually as well as practice recording
themselves speaking, which is a component assessed on AZELLA. The students could also utilize the laptops for their writing composition,
another component of EL instruction, standards and assessment.  Currently there are no working laptops in the EL classrooms for students to
use during EL instruction. The laptops would remain in the EL classroom and would not be assigned to students to take outside of the
