COUNTY FY 2022 /HUD PY 2021 FUNDING ALLOCATIONS HOME-ARP A variety of projects are proposed for the HOME Investment Partnerships Program – American Rescue Plan Act (HOME-ARP) funding allocated to Maricopa County from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) during Program Year 2021. HOME-ARP resources of $16,756,617 are anticipated to be expended for HOME-ARP allowable activities including, but not limited to, the creation or preservation of affordable housing; Tenant-Based Rental Assistance; Supportive Services, including homeless prevention services and housing counseling; and purchase or development of non-congregate shelter for individuals and families experiencing homelessness; and other eligible activities as may be determined by HUD. HUD PY 2021-22 HOME-ARP ALLOCATION - $16,756,617 HOME-ARP funds are anticipated to be committed in the following manner: SUBTOTAL TOTAL Avondale $885,459 Chandler $1,717,654 Gilbert $1,174,917 Glendale $2,876,844 Scottsdale $1,442,098 Surprise $779,157 Tempe $2,269,939 Maricopa County* Affordable Rental Housing Development $4,000,793 MCHSD Program Administration $1,609,756 $5,610,549 *Maricopa County’s allocation includes the City of Peoria, which elected not to administer HOME-ARP funds directly. NOTES: Specific awards to each entity are subject to modification up to and including 20%, pursuant to procedures set forth in the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors’ Approved Citizen Participation Plan. Unencumbered or unspent HOME-ARP funds may be reallocated and spent at any time throughout the duration of the funding allowance, as set forth in each respective IGA or the Citizen Participation Plan. HOME MCHSD admin assessment is 7.5% of the Consortium member gross allocation except for the county is 15% for UC activities. Members can use 7.5% of allocation for administration.
