RESOLUTION NO. R26-21
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GLENDALE,
MARICOPA
COUNTY,
ARIZONA,
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO OF
AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY
OF PHOENIX FOR THE INSTALLATION, OPERATION, AND
MAINTENANCE OF A SIGNAL AT 43RD AVENUE AND
MISSOURI AVENUE INTERSECTION IN THE CITY OF
PHOENIX.
WHEREAS, the City of Phoenix will be constructing a signal at the 43rd Avenue and
Missouri intersection; and
WHEREAS, the placement of the signal will help promote vehicular operation and safety
in the area; and
WHEREAS, the City of Phoenix will be the lead agency overseeing the construction of the
signal; and
WHEREAS, the City of Phoenix will be Maintaining and operating the signal; and
WHEREAS, some of the project components will be located within the jurisdictional
Boundary of the City of Glendale.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows:
SECTION 1. That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and its citizens
thereof that an Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Phoenix for the installation,
operation, and maintenance of a signal at 43rd Avenue and Missouri Avenue, be entered into, which
Agreement is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Glendale.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager or designee and the City Clerk be authorized and
directed to execute and deliver any and all documents necessary to effectuate said Agreement on
behalf of the City of Glendale.
