•Council has expressed concern over the Plein Air 
Painting judging being held at Adult Center 
Auditorium for 2025 and 2026.

Timeline

•March 2024: Arts Administrator meets with Deputy 
Director of Economic Development to discuss council 
concerns of judging outdoors (e.g. wind, heat, dust, 
shouting over music, etc.). Arts Administrator is 
instructed to find a nearby indoor location. 
•April 2024: Adult Center Auditorium selected as venue, 
Judging for 2025 and 2026 relocated.

2027 and beyond Judging Options

•Return to Sahuaro Ranch Park as per 2024 judging. Can 
also include tents with sidewalls for the judging. 
•Maintain at Folk and Heritage Fest, or switch to 
Chocolate Affaire or Downtown Glendale Arts and 
Culture Fest.
