RESOLUTION NO. R26-18 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE ARIZONA NATIONAL GUARD CYBER JOINT TASK FORCE AND THE CITY OF GLENDALE INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT. WHEREAS, the Arizona National Guard Cyber Joint Task Force conducts comprehensive network and web application assessments, under Authority of Title 26 of the Arizona Revised Statutes, the Army National Guard Defensive Cyber Operations Element Concept of Operations, Joint Publication 3-12 Cyberspace Operation, and at the direction of the Governor of the State of Arizona; and WHEREAS, the Arizona National Guard Cyber Joint Task Force conducts various assessments to evaluate the security posture when compared to best practices, regulations, policies and standards relating to cybersecurity; and WHEREAS, engaging in assessments by the Arizona National Guard Cyber Joint Task Force comes at no financial obligation by the City; and WHEREAS, the City of Glendale Department of Innovation and Technology finds that engaging in assessments with the Arizona National Guard Cyber Joint Task Force is in the best interest of the City. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: SECTION 1. That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale to authorize cybersecurity assessments with the Arizona National Guard Cyber Joint Task Force regarding the City of Glendale’s cybersecurity posture. SECTION 2. That the City Council authorizes and directs the City of Glendale Innovation & Technology Department Chief Information Officer to execute all documents necessary to enter into the Memorandum of Agreement on behalf of the City of Glendale.
