RESOLUTION NO. R26-01 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ACQUISITION OF AN 
EASEMENT FOR RIGHT-OF-WAY PURPOSES ALONG 
LITCHFIELD ROAD ADJACENT TO LUKE AIR FORCE BASE 
AND DIRECTING THE EXECUTION OF ANY DOCUMENTS 
NECESSARY TO COMPLETE SAID ACQUISITION.  
 
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
SECTION 1. That it is deemed necessary and essential for the City of Glendale to acquire 
an easement to the following property mentioned below and described and depicted in Exhibit A 
and B attached to the easement: 
 
The United States of America by its Secretary of the Air Force 
The owners of property located along Litchfield Road adjacent to 
Luke Air Force Base granting approximately 19,460 square feet of 
property via an easement along this corridor for right-of-way, more 
specifically identified at the following three locations all on 
Litchfield Road: Lightning Drive, Gillespe Street, and Super Sabre 
Street 
 
SECTION 2.  That the City Manager and the City Clerk be authorized and directed to 
execute and deliver any and all documents necessary to acquire said easement on behalf of the 
City of Glendale.  
 
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of
