RESOLUTION NO. R26-04 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO OF 
AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY 
OF 
LITCHFIELD 
PARK 
FOR 
THE 
INSTALLATION, 
OPERATION, AND MAINTENANCE OF A SIGNAL AT 
LITCHFIELD ROAD AND MISSOURI AVENUE IN THE CITY 
OF LITCHFIELD PARK.  
 
 
WHEREAS, The City of Litchfield Park desires to construct a signal at the intersection of 
Litchfield Road and Missouri Avenue; and 
 
WHEREAS, the placement of the signal will help promote traffic safety in the area and 
enhance traffic operation in the area in the vicinity of the intersection; and 
 
WHEREAS, The City of Litchfield Park will be the lead agency overseeing the design and 
construction of the project; and 
 
WHEREAS, The City of Litchfield Park will operate and maintain the signal at Litchfield 
Park Road and Missouri Avenue intersection; and 
 
WHEREAS, some of the project components will be located with the jurisdictional 
boundary of the City of Glendale. 
 
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
SECTION 1.  That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the citizens 
thereof that an Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Litchfield Park for the installation, 
operation, and maintenance of a signal at the Litchfield Road and Missouri Avenue intersection, 
be entered into, which agreement is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of 
Glendale. 
 
SECTION 2.  That the City Manager or designee and the City Clerk be authorized and 
directed to execute and deliver any and all documents necessary to effectuate said Agreement on 
behalf of the City of Glendale.
