RESOLUTION NO. R26-07 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO OF 
AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO RESOLUTION NO. R21-118 TO 
SHARE COSTS FOR THE FEASIBILITY STUDY OF 
BARTLETT DAM MODIFICATION ALTERNATIVES AMONG 
COST-SHARE PARTNERS AND SALT RIVER PROJECT 
AGRICULTURE IMPROVEMENT AND POWER DISTRICT 
(SRP) TO INCREASE THE AMOUNT BY $288,000 AND 
EXTEND THE TERM OF THE AGREEMENT.  
 
 
WHEREAS, the City seeks to enter into Amendment No. 1 (Exhibit D) to share costs for 
the feasibility study of Bartlett Dam Modification Alternatives. The amendment increases the 
compensation amount by $288,000 for a total not to exceed amount of $688,000 and extends the 
term of the agreement through 2027; and 
 
WHEREAS, the City previously entered into an agreement to share costs associated with 
the Feasibility Study of Bartlett Dam Modification Alternatives in an amount not to exceed of 
$400,000 through 2025. 
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
SECTION 1.  That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the citizens 
thereof for the City of Glendale to enter into Amendment No. 1 to share costs for the Feasibility 
Study of Bartlett Dam Modification Alternatives with Arizona Water Company, Apache Junction 
Water Utility Community Facilities District, Buckeye Water Conservation and Drainage District, 
Central Arizona Groundwater Replenishment District, EPCOR USA, Inc., Fort McDowell 
Yavapai Nation, Pinal County Water Augmentation Authority, SRP, and Arizona cities of 
Avondale, Buckeye, Chandler, El Mirage, Goodyear, Mesa, Peoria, Phoenix,  Scottsdale, Surprise, 
and Tempe, and Arizona towns of Carefree, Cave Creek, Gilbert and Queen Creek. 
 
SECTION 2.  That the City Manager or designee and the City Clerk are authorized and 
directed to execute and deliver any and all documents necessary to effectuate said Amendment 
No. 1 (Exhibit D) on behalf of the City of Glendale.
