RESOLUTION NO. R26-32 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF ONE PASS THROUGH APPLICATION FOR THE 2026 FORT MCDOWELL YAVAPAI NATION PROPOSITION 202 GRANT APPLICATION ON BEHALF OF A COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATION SERVING GLENDALE RESIDENTS IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $35,485.96. WHEREAS, in order to award grant funds to non-profit organizations, the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation requires a resolution from the governing body of an eligible government showing that the eligible government will act as a fiscal agent and accept funding on the non-profit’s behalf, if awarded; and WHEREAS, the proposed project will benefit residents of the City of Glendale by enhancing educational opportunities and fostering community engagement consistent with City priorities; and WHEREAS, Glendale Community College is a non-municipal public service organization based in the City of Glendale, Arizona, requesting a grant of $35,485.96 from the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: SECTION 1. The Glendale City Council approves the filing of one pass-through application for the 2026 Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation Prop 202 – 12% grant on behalf of the eligible organization, Glendale Community College, and the Glendale City Council also approves the City of Glendale’s role as sponsor and fiscal agent for the grant, if awarded, in the amount of $35,485.96. SECTION 2. That the City of Glendale shall serve solely as the pass-through entity and fiscal agent for any Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation grant funds awarded to Glendale Community College and is not responsible for the programmatic or financial administration of the grant by the recipient organization. SECTION 3. That the City of Glendale accept the awarded funds from the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation and, upon receipt, disburse said funds to Glendale Community College in accordance with the requirements of the grant award. SECTION 4. That the City Manager or designee and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute and deliver such agreement on behalf of the City of Glendale.
