RESOLUTION NO. R26-39 
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO 
OF 
AMENDMENT 
NO. 
1 
TO 
THE 
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY 
OF PEORIA (C24-1129) FOR LANDFILL DISPOSAL 
SERVICES. 
WHEREAS, City Council previously adopted Resolution No. R24-108, New Series, 
which authorized and directed the City Manager to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement 
("IGA") with the City of  Peoria for Landfill Disposal Services at the Glendale Municipal 
Landfill (“Landfill”) as City Contract No. C24-1129; and 
WHEREAS, the parties have agreed to amend certain language in the IGA, including 
the  rates to be charged to Peoria residents who self-haul loads to the Landfill; and 
WHEREAS, the parties have also agreed to extend the term of the IGA for a three-year 
period from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2029. 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
SECTION I. That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the 
citizens thereof that the Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Peoria for Landfill 
Disposal Services be amended as provided in Amendment No. 1. 
SECTION 2. That the City Manager or designee and City Clerk are authorized and 
directed to execute and deliver such agreement on behalf of the City of Glendale. 
SECTION 3. That Amendment No. 1 to the IGA shall take effect 30 days after the 
adoption of this Resolution.
