RESOLUTION NO. R26-12 
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO OF 
A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE CITY 
OF PHOENIX ADMINISTERED BY ITS FIRE DEPARTMENT 
GRANTING PHOENIX FIRE DEPARTMENT AND GLENDALE 
FIRE KNOX KEYSECURE EKEY ACCESS ACROSS BOTH 
CITY BOUNDARIES. 
 
WHEREAS, the City of Phoenix Fire Department (“Phoenix”) and the City of Glendale 
Fire Department ("Glendale") have agreed to grant access to each other’s Knox KeySecure eKey 
across both City boundaries; and 
WHEREAS, the MOU will allow Phoenix and Glendale to provide access to their Knox 
KeySecure eKey system to access the Knox boxes in their jurisdiction; and 
WHEREAS, Glendale Fire Department responds into the City of Phoenix as part of the 
Regional Automatic Aid system. 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY 
OF GLENDALE as follows: 
SECTION 1. That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the 
citizens thereof that the Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) with the City of Phoenix 
administered by the Phoenix Fire Department for granting access for Knox KeySecure eKey 
Access be entered into, which MOU is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of 
Glendale. 
SECTION 2. That the Mayor or City Manager and the City Clerk be authorized and 
directed to execute and deliver said MOU on behalf of the City of Glendale.
