RESOLUTION NO. R26-13  
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO OF 
AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY 
OF PHOENIX FOR THE INSTALLATION, OPERATION, AND 
MAINTENANCE 
OF 
THREE 
STREETLIGHTS 
ON 
CAMELBACK ROAD IN THE CITY OF PHOENIX.  
 
 
WHEREAS, the City of Glendale desires to construct the second phase of the Infill 
Lighting Phase II Project; and 
 
WHEREAS, the scope of the project includes the installation of streel lights at various 
locations within the city; and 
 
WHEREAS, the placement of the streetlights will help promote traffic safety; and 
 
WHEREAS, the City of Glendale owns and maintains Camelback Road to the south curb 
line of the road; and 
 
WHEREAS, 3 street light fixtures will be placed on the south side of Camelback Road east 
of the 75th Avenue intersection within the municipal boundaries of Phoenix; and 
 
WHEREAS, the City of Glendale will be the lead agency overseeing the design and 
construction of the project; and 
 
WHEREAS, the City of Phoenix will operate and maintain the 3 light fixtures on the south 
side of Camelback Road after construction is completed. 
 
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
SECTION 1.  That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and the citizens 
thereof that an intergovernmental agreement with the City of Phoenix for the maintenance of 3 
streetlights that are placed within the municipal limits of Phoenix, be entered into, which 
agreement is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Glendale. 
 
SECTION 2.  That the City Manager or designee and the City Clerk be authorized and 
directed to execute and deliver any and all documents necessary to effectuate said Agreement on 
behalf of the City of Glendale.
