RESOLUTION NO. R26-50      
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE ENTERING INTO A 
GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF 
TRANSPORTATION 
FEDERAL 
HIGHWAY 
ADMINISTRATION (AWARD NO. 693JJ32640326) FOR 
ACCEPTANCE AND EXPENDITURE OF THE SAFE STREET 
FOR ALL SUPPLEMENTAL PLANNING GRANT FUNDING 
FOR 
THE 
DEVELOPMENT 
OF 
AN 
ACTIVE 
TRANSPORTATION PLAN AND ADA TRANSITION PLAN. 
 
WHEREAS, the Federal Government, through the Federal Highway Administration 
(“FHWA”), has granted federal funding in the amount of $799,992 to the City of Glendale to 
develop an active transportation plan and ADA transition plan; and 
 
WHEREAS, the “FHWA” will be responsible for 80% of the plan development costs and 
the City will be responsible for 20% of the plan development cost. 
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
SECTION 1.  That it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Glendale and its citizens 
thereof that the Grant Agreement with the Federal Highway Administration (Award No. 
693JJ32640326) for acceptance and expenditure of the Safety Streets for All (SS4A) supplemental 
planning grant funding for the development of an active transportation plan and ADA transition 
plan, be entered into, which agreement is not on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of 
Glendale. 
 
SECTION 2.  That the City Manager or designee and City Clerk are authorized and directed 
to execute, file and deliver said agreement on behalf of the City of Glendale.
