Page 1 PLANNING COMMISSION WORKSHOP MINUTES GLENDALE CIVIC CENTER 5750 W. GLENN DRIVE GLENDALE, ARIZONA 85301 MAY 6, 2021 5:00 P.M. CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Crow called the meeting to order at approximately 5:00 p.m. ROLL CALL Commissioners Present: Commissioners J. Crow, Nowakowski, Wilfong, Cole, and Vice Chairperson Nyberg, and Chairperson Crow were present. The Commission seat for the Sahuaro District remains vacant. City Staff Present: Jim Gruber, Chief Deputy City Attorney, David Richert, Interim Planning Administrator, Jamsheed Mehta, Development Services Director, Tabitha Perry, Executive Officer, Special Projects, and Diana Figueroa, Recording Secretary. ITEMS Chairperson Crow called for the items. 1. REZONING (ZON) APPLICATION ZON21-XX: WOOLF CROSSING – 15551 WEST OLIVE AVENUE - Tabitha Perry, Executive Officer, Special Projects Ms. Perry made staff’s presentation stating this is a request for the Planning Commission to initiate a Rezoning Application to amend the Woolf Crossing PAD (Planned Area Development). There was a consensus from the Planning Commission to initiate this application. 2. MOTION TO ENTER INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION A motion was made by Commissioner Wilfong to enter into Executive Session. Vice Chairperson Nyberg seconded the motion, which was unanimously approved. A motion was made for the Commission to enter into an Executive Session at 5:12pm. The Commission returned from Executive Session at 6:54pm. 3. REQUEST TO INITIATE A REZONING APPLICATION TO AMEND THE CATLIN COURT DISTRICT PAD (PLANNED AREA DEVELOPMENT) – Tabitha Perry, Executive Officer, Special Projects Ms. Perry made staff’s presentation stating this is a request for the Planning Commission to initiate a Rezoning Application to amend the Catlin Court District PAD (Planned Area Development). There was a consensus from the Planning Commission to initiate this application. Page 2 4. NEXT MEETING The next regular Workshop of the Planning Commission is scheduled for Thursday, June 3, 2021, at 5:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers, 5850 West Glendale Avenue, Glendale, Arizona, 85301. ADJOURNMENT With no further business, the Chairperson called for a motion to adjourn. Vice Chairperson Nyberg made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
